Abstract: Biogas is a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide produced by anaerobic degradation of organic matter and used as a fuel. In the current study focusing on the characterization of biogas slurry from Sadra, Gandhinagar District, Gujarat. The physicochemical parameters like pH, BOD, COD, inorganic ion like Chlorine, heavy metal; residual sugar and protein concentration have been studied. Different bacteria and fungi were isolated using medium. The morphological and biochemical characteristic of isolates was performed. It was further confirmed with 16S rRNA sequencing & BLAST. Metagenomics of sample was also done.
